Wellbutrin Side Effects (Bupropion)

When you are taking medications that affect your hormones and brain chemistry there are bound to be side effects. However, with proper discussion, trial, and adjustment you can minimize or eliminate the side effects of wellbutrin (bupropion). Side effects of Wellbutrin (bupropion)

While the side effects of Wellbutrin (bupropion) range from mild to severe, the more common side effects include: mood swings, increased anxiety and/or panic attacks, insomnia, feeling restless or hyperactive (can be mentally or physically), increased feelings of depression, stomach pain, dizziness, lower libido, muscle pain, increased perspiration, frequent urination, changes in appetite, and/or unintended weight loss or gain. Most of these Wellbutrin side effects are mild and should be reported to your doctor as soon as possible. There are a number of side effects that should warrant immediate medical intervention, including: seizures, irregular heart rhythms, increased heart rate, flu-like symptoms, aching joint pain, hallucinations, and/or a severe rash.
