Used to treat the pain induced by muscle spasms caused by damage to the muscle, Robaxin (methocarbamol) comes in 11 pill forms and is always 500 or 750 mg. Robaxin comes in one dosage size in pill form, to be taken orally. Robaxin (methocarbamol) are intended to be taken in conjunction with physical therapy, rest, and pain killers prescribed by your doctor and are not intended to be a permanent regimen.
Robaxin 500 mg
Robaxin (methocarbamol) medication is intended to be taken by persons over the age of 18 only. When starting a 500 mg regimen, three tablets will be taken initially, followed by two tablets, three to four times per day, as directed by your doctor.
Robaxin 750 mg
A Robaxin (methocarbamol) regimen of 750 mg will start with an initial two tablets, followed by one tablet every four hours, or two tablets three times per day.
Regardless of the dosage, 6 grams a day are recommended for the first 48 to 72 hours of treatment to load the system and prepare it for maintenance. If a condition is severe, up to 8 grams per day during this initial period may be given. Thereafter, the dosage may be reduced to 4 grams per day.

- Robaxin 750, orange, oblong. It should be noted that ROBAXIN is engraved on one side and SP is above the score on the opposite side.
Both the brand and generic versions of the medication should be stored between 68°F and 77°F and kept in a tight container. It should be kept away from moisture and excessive heat.
Robaxin (methocarbamol) should only be taken as prescribed, following the directions on the label unless instructed otherwise by your physician. If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take extra medication to make up for a missed dose.
Robaxin can alter the results of certain medical tests, be sure to inform any doctor who treats you that you are on Robaxin. If you overdose on Robaxin, call your local Poison help line or dial 911.
